Can black-SA mobile-users read 800-char messages?

It seems that everybody in SA has got a cell phone; but I don't
know how they would read a message of about 800 characters.
That's about 20 lines: less than half an A4 page.
And of the ones who can access internet, how do they
enter a long address/URL?

Can twitter or facebook do this?
Is it the case that many of them use twitter or facebook,
but are unfamiliar accessing a general URL?

What's involved and how long does it take to join/test
twitter or facebook?

Do you think that in South Africa there are separate cell phone networks for
black and white?

What are you asking here?

Let's consider a second dimension of user division: gender.
The network is part of the environment and the users are
divided by gender. Can you claim that there is no difference
in average capabilities/tendencies for certain actions within
the same environment?

Let's consider a third dimension for this very same action:
age. I've implied/revealed that older persons don't use
twitter/facebook. Do you dispute that too.

What are you asking here?
Scan down for the "?" characters, and then step back till
you reach the first "." character and re-read the enclosed
section -- repeatedly.

Actually I could better ask:
'would the current population of black unemployed,
yet able to read and write english, be able to
receive a 800 character message, with the currently commonly
available mobile phones that they have access to, for the purpose
of initial sceening for job applications.'

But that's a bit too long for a subject line.

Market researchers specialise in such info.

Their SMS facilities would suffice to reply to the 'test question',
but how will they read the 800-char test question?
