Clair Short's refusal to just give just Mugabe money
without conditions was a watershed in the tough-love
policy. The UK and commonwealth made massive effort
to get Zimbabwe off to a good start, mainly to serve as
a good example to white-controlled neighbouring
S.Africa. As the WOGs increasingly 'went off the rails'
especially with their Zaire/Congo adventure, disciplinary
actions were appropriately considered.

Now SADEC is using the 'bait & switch', Nigerian 419
scam tactic to try to extract money from the US and
europeans.

Imagine, that when the white-controlled government
of Rhodesia or S.Africa had had enough of 'sanctions'
and decided to give/share power to the opposition,
that they still kept Mandela and other political
prisoners in jail. Just what do these WOGs think !?
