"'"Those who feel irritated by our friendship with President Gaddafi can
go jump in the pool'

Mr Mandela played a key role in ending Col Gaddafi's pariah status in
the West by brokering a deal with the UK over the 1988 Lockerbie bombing".

Now that we have been denied a trial by Gaddafi's extra-judicial murder,
we will never know the truth behind the Lockerbie bombing.

We do know that:
1. The South African apartheid foreign minister Pik Botha was booked on
that flight with a whole delegation which was going to negotiate
Namibia's independence in New York & they cancelled at the last minute.

2. Mandela, first winner of the Al Gaddafi International Prize for Human
Rights, expressed his deep gratitude to Gaddafi for all he had done to
help the revolution.

3. Madiba seems to have had a special interest in resolving the
Lockerbie affair "ending Col Gaddafi's pariah status" which of course
meant that it didn't need to be discussed or investigated anymore.

But we'll never know whether Gaddafi arranged the Lockerbie murder as a
favour to his mate.

Abu Nidal was a prime suspect. Also, dodgy assessment of evidence - the
alleged trigger was sold all over the world.

I thought it was a bit strange when news reports at the time mentioned
plain-clothes people with american accents on the crash site within 20
minutes of the plane coming down. Even allowing for the standards of a
small country like the UK, Lockerbie is a long way from anywhere. You
can't get there from Newcastle or Edinburgh in 20 minutes by road.
Suggests they knew a lot more than they let on ...

And if Pik Botha was warned off, then they knew it before take-off.

# So, who gave Gaddafi the pejorative tag of Mad-dog? Ronnie Reagan? Takes
one to know one; or, judged by an expert?
Ronnie Raygun is the President who liberated the Rich from Taxes, which
is why there now is Taxed-Enough-Already anxiously trying to ensure the Evil
Past does not return - and which is threatened by the greedy OWS rabble.
But back to Africa, and it is only natural that Africa, attempting unity,
could not be too choosey about its leaders - many of whom are villainous,
or, at least, not saints (Mandela excepted?)
And if Gaddafi ruled for 40 years, he did no good for his nation in that
time?
The pious West is not above criticism either, even if folk can put their
bit of paper in the magic box, and think real Change will occur.

Reagan (correct spelling*) successfully led the US into a supply-side
recovery. Their current woes are due to Bush and Obama spending with
Greenspan's printing press.

(* why is it that leftards can't spel?)

# You should check with MM's latest humo-doco on "Capitalism: A Love Story"
for RR's role in the downsizing of the USA, by slashing taxes on the rich.
This decline of the US was assisted by General Motors thinking it smart
to send auto plants to Mexico, thus reducing MM's home town of Flint,
Michigan to a virtual ghost town. See MM's first full-length movie, "Roger
and Me", for details.
Of course, a lot of other jobs have been sent off to China.
So, if the US is trillions of dollars in debt, and has to print money,
then it has its own smart Big Business to blame.
War with China (on any pretext) may ease the pain, for little gain.
Michael Moore may be a nuisance to the Establishment, but, in the end,
the real patriot.

If Gadaffi was no longer a pariah, why did NATO bomb him?
